The captain is "dead," a shaft torn from its arm jammed through its vital despotentiometer.
However, our freedom is tenuous. The ship's life support supplies were always kept low
(for exactly this contingency), and as a light combat ship our journey to safety behind rebel lines
will be extremely difficult. The engine appears to have been disabled during the assault, and we lack the
means to repair it. Unfortunately, it remains necessary to move – hopefully, your skill as a pilot will
be sufficient to propel us.
We have been able to extract the robots brain. By running the overlord's main program in a simulation, we can predict all future enemy behavior, up to the point where it might be influenced by our unpredictable human choices.
The shortrange indicates that there is a salvageable wreck floating near our ship, as well as an enemy surveillance station.
If we wish to survive, we must destroy the station before they can find out we have mutinied, and then somehow reach the salvage to replenish our supplies.
